-Between 15 and 20 high resolutions images from your sessions. (I will also provide you with blank and white copies of each edited image.
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY SESSION?
The earlier, the better. It is best to contact me as far in advance as possible in order to make sure I am am available. At this current time, I schedule most of my shoots for weekends but can accommodate weekday requests if they are booked far in advance.
Newborn sessions should be booked between your new baby's first and tenth day of life.
HOW AND WHEN DO I PAY FOR MY SESSION?
A 50$ retainer is due at time of booking in order to secure your session date. This retainer is non refundable. Should you be forced to cancel our scheduled session for unforeseen circumstances. This retainer is most certainly transferable from one date to another.
All payments can be made by cash, cheque or email money transfer.
The remaining session balance is to be paid on the day of our shoot, prior to your session.
WHERE SHOULD WE TAKE OUR PICTURES?
Since Danielle is a natural light photographer, sessions can take place either outdoors or in the comfort of your own home. (No need to travel!) Weather permitting, I prefer do schedule most sessions outdoors. There are so many beautiful locations in the Ottawa area for you to choose from. Should you need some advice, I have a few favorite locations!
I not to shoot in a studio for many reasons. I believe it adds creativity and a more personal feel to your images. Without a studio filled with equipment, I can shoot pretty much anywhere you choose!
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY IMAGES?
Within seven days, I will post a preview of your sessions on my Facebook page (So please make sure to like Danielle Jolicoeur Photography on Facebook).
Your final digital images and prints will be available approximately 3 weeks from your session.
YOU SEEMED TO HAVE TAKEN QUITE A FEW PICTURES DURING OUR SESSIONS, WHY DO I ONLY GET BETWEEN 15 AND 20?
Although I can only guarantee between 15 and 20 images, I always strive for more. As a perfectionist, I want to make sure that your session album only contains the best of the best. Quite a few images get snapped where your eyes may be closed, you may be turned the wrong direction or the lighting may have changed and we need to re-adjust. The images that you do not receive, have only been omitted because I feel that they were not satisfactory.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN DURING MY NEWBORN SESSION?
Upon booking your newborn session, you will received a very detailed information package to help you prepare for your newborn session. However, here are a few essentials to keep in mind.
Newborn sessions should take place during baby's first ten days of life. This ensures that baby is sleepy enough to pose in all of those cute and snugly positions that photograph so well. (Should you wish or need to book when baby is older than ten days, I strongly recommend a "lifestyle type shoot". You can contact me for more details or review my photo albums.
This session takes place at you home. As a new mom or dad, you have enough stress on your hands. You are obligated to relax during the session. I will bring all equipment and props necessary. You just provide the cute baby!
Newborns sometimes spend the day sleeping quietly and they sometimes spend the day "a little less quiet". As a mother myself, I know what I am in for during these sessions. My main goal is to make sure baby is happy and comfy.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME FOR MY MATERNITY SHOOT?
Pregnant bellies are best photographed between around the seven month mark. However, that pregnancy glow can be captured anytime during pregnancy.
Please feel free to make your way to the CONTACT section of the website if you have any questions or are ready to schedule your session.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Danielle Jolicoeur
